Jan 10

We all went on a little trip to Kansas City during Christmas break. We got to see Joe, Heather, Jordan, and Lucas. We also got to see Grandma & Grandpa Savener & Uncle Phil, Dominic and Makenna. It was a fun time. Jordan likes The Rainforest Cafe so we got to go there and eat.

Joe & Heather went to supper so Chris and I had all the kids. We had a pizza picnic, bath time for all, and a struggle with bed time - we survived though. The Savener's brought Kirby his Christmas presents. He loves his new mower.

January 5th, we had Kirby's hemoglobin levels checked. He had been doing fairly well but slowly falling. In a matter of 5 days he went down 1.1 and had to go in for another transfusion. The doctors are still unsure as to what is causing the anemia. There is a hereditary test they want to check for that is found in people with Northern European and Scandanavian backgrounds. Originally they said we had to wait until Kirby was 18 months for this, now they're saying 15 months. After the tranfusion he went from 5.5 to 8.5. Today we had him checked and he is 8.6 - we are happy.
