It's My Birthday, It's My Birthday...

It was Kirby's birthday this week. Hard to believe he turned one already. We had a small party with Grandma & Grandpa Westerman, The Hager's, and Mr. Jobey & Miss Marcy. Aunt Catie was sick so Dison came with Grandma and Grandpa. Everyone had a nice time and Kirby got some gifts he really liked.

Kirby had a big medical week too. Wednesday we went in for more labs and his hemoglobin levels were down to 5.4 again. They admitted him to U of I hospitals and after a whole bunch of tests, they gave him a small blood transfusion. This brought his levels up to 7.6.

On Thursday morning he gave a bone marrow sample and after a few hemoglobin tests and him staying stable at 7.6 we went home - 24 hours later! Boy were we all tired. We go back to the Dr. in Iowa City on Wednesday and hopefully we have a good visit.
