Joe in Iraq

I know I said I would post some pictures from Joe. It is long overdue, but here they finally are. Don't ask me what many of them are, I'm not for sure. I think the trucks are their new ones that protect them from roadside bombs.

Joe seems to be doing well. He's not too fond of the mosquitos, but says they are a trade-off for the heat since he is in northern Iraq. Also not fond of the heat, bats, or the coffee.

Not much is new with us. I was on jury duty Mon - Wed this week. It was an interesting experience. We ended up convicting some guy of possession of a controlled substance w/intent to deliver and several other things. He will definitely get prison time because of a firearms charge we found him guilty on, and up to 32yrs!

A piece of good news is we went to Iowa City on Wed for a scheduled transfusion for Kirby. We have no idea what happened, but he held his levels for a week!! That is great news. So, we'll get him tested again next week and pray that he stays steady again.
